Dr. Lisseth London is the leading expert in Ethnotraumatology & Culturally Inclusive Healing. Dr. London is a trailblazer in Ethnotraumatology, dedicated to transforming mental health support for Black, Indigenous, and Diverse Ethnic Communities (BIDEC). Her research bridges faith-based Indigenous practices with clinical mental health treatments, advocating for a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach to trauma healing.
Through her doctoral work, Dr. London identified critical gaps in traditional mental health models, which often overlook historical, cultural, and transgenerational trauma. Committed to action, she integrates culturally relevant healing strategies into coaching, counseling, and community-based interventions.
As the founder of the University of Ethnotrauma Science & Research (UESR), Dr. London is reshaping mental health education, training providers to address the deep-seated cultural and historical factors that influence healing. Her leadership challenges conventional models, ensuring that mental health care is both clinically effective and culturally responsive.
Dr. Karen Brown is an expert in Forensic & International Psychology, Trauma, and Leadership. With 26 years in the U.S. Army as a combat medic, Dr. Brown brings extensive expertise in forensic and international psychology, trauma recovery, and applied leadership. Her firsthand experience with trauma and resilience shapes her holistic, justice-centered approach to education and research.
Committed to cultural competency and advocacy for marginalized communities, Dr. Brown equips future leaders with the tools to address systemic inequities and promote healing. Beyond academia, she engages in mentorship, policy development, and community initiatives, ensuring the university remains a leader in trauma-informed, culturally responsive education.
